Desert of Life Interpretation

Posted on Aug 22nd, 2006 by jeepdog : Warrior Poet jeepdog
The sun glares the ultimatum of life.
Juxtaposition, finding survival in opposites by the light.
Hot versus cold, light versus dark, peace is secured only through strife.
There is no middle ground, light only is right.
Believe! Assimilate! Subjugate your wife!
Any misstep from the true belief brings misfortune and blight.
There is only one way, says the sun, and the truth cuts as a nomad’s knife.
The unbelievers of light truth will perish, they will be denied day and cast into the night.
For the sun flares the only truth of life.

The wind resonates a cooperative life solution, the antithesis of spite.
Basal rhythm, ensuring balance and combination in the design.
Rainbows blend with hills, and colors of sky and earth unite.
Hot, cold, light, dark all combine to ensure earth’s peace remains divine.
Equilibrium! Chaotic symmetry! Couples partnered in pure delight!
A misstep is an individual’s discovery for the group’s intellectual redefine.
Dots, colors, and patterns all point the way, and understanding in people it does ignite.
The believers of harmony, friendship and community embraced, will grow with time.
For the wind carries truth for foes and mates alike.

The earth and sands whisper the true tones of life’s Spirit and poise.
Big sky greets terra with oneness in marvelous hues of azure, ochre, and crimson.
Hot and cold, light and dark, peace in life is secured through all of creation’s joys.
Through totem we can find peace with our natures’ kin.
Understanding! Comprehension in the quest! Your tribe finds solitude in nature’s noise!
Every misstep is a journey that medicine can help find the balance for all within.
Earth arching over heaven frames the vision that earth’s wisdom perpetually deploys.
The believers of the blend return thanks for everything taken without whim.
For the earth and sands softly guide the truth for Mother’s girls and boys.

Love this poem. You should write some more. Experience of the cultures exudes from every sentence - verisimilitude in the detail and assonance for emphasis.
